November 1891, Marie Sklodowska, a young polish girl, arrived in Paris to pursue her studies. She met Pierre Curie who was a researcher loved science as much as she did, and they got married soon after. With the help of her husband, then doing it by herself, Marie Curie carried out works that earned her world recognition, by discovering radium with its extraordinary poroperties.
